The City of Steubenville encourages you to participate in the city's Adopt-A-Lot program. Community-oriented organizations can take an unused city lot or lot, lease it for two years for a dollar a year, and turn a potential eye-catcher or source of neighborhood grievances into a beautiful and lush green bag. The municipality is obliged to comply with the terms of the lease and the rules set out therein. You must attend a training course provided by a local nonprofit organization such as the City's Community Development Corporation (CDC) within two months of signing a lease.
